Paul Carahan :: Graphic Design

Paul Poster

poster 1 :: poster 2

Class: Graphic Design and Imaging
Student: Paul Carahan
Objective:Students were asked to choose a political topic and create two posters with a strong emphasis on type and color. Paul focused on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the accompanying social impact of the event. The first poster (on the left) uses only black and white to emphasize the bleak atmosphere before the collapse of the Berlin Wall. The second poster (on the right) explores the use of red as an emotional indicator of revolution and upheaval. The posters were powerful and evocative, made all the more remarkable by the fact that the student was only in his first year of study.
