Class: Graduate Computer Illustration
Student: Abdullah Badawy
Objective: Students were technically challenged to create an illustration using the application Painter. Being a graduate Illustration class, the students were well versed in hand illustration skills as well as traditional programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Painter allowed the students to explore new effects, along with digital replication of customary mediums, papers and tools. In essence, working with Painter is much like learning to draw all over again. For one of his projects, Abdullah chose to focus on layer modes and lighting effects to create a haunting image.
